About the Internship

This Online Internship Course in Inspection & Quality Control is designed for engineering students who aim to build strong, industry-ready skills for Quality Assurance (QA) roles in automotive and mass-production sectors. Through real manufacturing examples, the program focuses on essential QA competencies such as engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T, 7 QC tools, and industrial gauge design.

Learning Mode:
The internship is delivered through www.learnew.org, an interactive e-learning platform. Learners can study at their own pace with access to an integrated chatbox support system for expert doubt clarification during scheduled support windows.

Course Coverage

• Engineering Drawing & GD&T Practice: Interpreting industrial drawings, limits & fits, surface-finish symbols, and 20 real component examples (valves, housings, shafts, washers, adapters).

• GD&T Fundamentals: Introduction, rules, form tolerances (flatness, straightness, circularity, cylindricity), and snap-gauge design for an 8 mm shaft.

• Orientation & Location Tolerances: Orientation, profile, position, run-out, concentricity, and symmetry with practical applications.

• 7 QC Tools: Cause-and-effect diagram, Pareto chart, control charts, scatter diagram, histogram, stratification, check sheets, and case studies.

• Plug Gauge Design: Concepts, steps, and examples such as valve body ID, bearing bore Ø35 mm, coupling hole Ø50 mm, piston pin bore, and adapter recess depth.

• Snap Gauge Design: Designs for 8 mm OD, 37 mm width, 65 mm OD, 110 mm height, 12 mm groove diameter, and 2 mm groove width; inspection methodology.

• Flush Pin Gauge Design: Depth measurement for components, grooves, and threads; dial-type gauges for internal hole depth.
